Satellite IF (70/140MHz) Fiber Optic Link
Engineered to cover the standard 20-200MHz bandwidth range, and integrated between the up-/ down-converter and operations room modem, ViaLite Classic and VialiteHD IF-band fiber links are recognised for their high performance and reliability.
Using high performance Distributed Feedback (DFB) lasers, these wide dynamic range 70/140MHz fiber optic links provide high performance, high reliability, transparent cross-site connections between up/down-converters and modems in satellite ground station equipment. The operation of the link is independent of data format and together with its inherently low phase noise performance, it is suitable for almost any type of signal modulation including FM and QPSK.
Highly reliability, comprehensive monitoring capability, large dynamic range, and low noise. These are just some of the performance benefits realised when you install ViaLite RF-over-fiber interfacility links. IF-band fiber links are also available with optional manual gain adjustment, a useful feature for balancing two or more optical links when employed in a redundant configuration.
ViaLite offers a range of RF to fiber rack mounted cards plus standalone OEM modules for integration into existing equipment. To meet satcom operators' diverse FSS and MSS site requirements ViaLite offers a range of indoor rack equipment as well as weather-proof outdoor enclosures designed to meet the most exacting facility requirements. ViaLite terminal equipment is suitable for use in a wide range of sites, and installation support is provided from our technical support team and customized service contracts are also available.
